As a Productiemedewerker Asfaltcentrale at Belasco, a subsidiary of BESIX Infra, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our asphalt production facility. BESIX Infra is a leading contractor in road construction, sewer installation, environmental remediation, and the development of public spaces across the Flemish and Brussels regions. With our own concrete and recycling sites in Bilzen and Burcht, and asphalt production installations in Bilzen, Ghent, and Puurs, we are well-equipped to execute projects efficiently throughout Flanders and Brussels.
In this role, your primary responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and operational status of the asphalt plant to ensure continuous production. You will perform quick interventions during minor breakdowns and assist in repairing major malfunctions. Conducting preventive maintenance to avoid issues and enhance production efficiency is also key. Additionally, you will implement technical adjustments to optimize the production process, support operations on the asphalt plant, and carry out end-of-day cleanup tasks to prepare the facility for the next workday.
We are looking for candidates who are early risers, starting work at 5:00 AM, with end times dependent on the production schedule, averaging eight hours per day. Flexibility is essential, as night and weekend work may occasionally be required. Technical insight is important; experience with mechanical maintenance and welding is advantageous. A practical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn are crucial, as comprehensive internal training will be provided to ensure you are fully prepared for the role.
