Product Manager – Perception & Sensor Fusion
Helsing, a defense AI company dedicated to safeguarding democracies, is seeking a Product Manager for Perception & Sensor Fusion to lead the development of perception software for uncrewed combat aerial vehicles. This role involves defining the product vision and roadmap for sensor processing, data fusion, and perception-based navigation in GNSS-denied environments. The position is based in Munich, Germany.
As the Product Manager, you will oversee the strategy and roadmap for airborne perception, encompassing EO/IR and RF sensor processing, multi-level data fusion, situational awareness, and perception-aided navigation. You will collaborate with operational users, software and AI engineers, systems engineers, and flight test teams to translate mission requirements into clear product specifications and performance targets. Your decisions will guide the development from initial concept to flight test, ensuring the delivery of a reliable and trustworthy battlespace picture for operators.
Ideal candidates will have experience in shipping sensing, perception, or data fusion capabilities as a product manager, technical product owner, or systems architect, preferably in aerospace, defense, autonomous vehicles, or robotics. A deep understanding of sensor data processing (EO/IR and/or RF, radar, ESM), multi-target tracking, and multi-sensor data fusion is essential. The ability to translate complex operational needs into structured requirements and a prioritized roadmap is crucial. Clear communication with engineers, program leaders, customers, and senior military stakeholders is required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain national security clearance and be willing to travel to test sites, customers, and partners.
