Canonical is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and strategy of its cloud-native products, including Juju, identity management, and observability solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver open-source software solutions that meet enterprise needs.

The Product Manager will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from setting priorities and goals to working closely with engineering leads on product development. Responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, gathering customer feedback, and ensuring alignment with Canonical's vision. The role also involves coaching and mentoring team members, establishing KPIs for project status reporting, and contributing to the success of the sales team by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.

Candidates should have extensive product management experience in technical domains related to open-source software in the cloud-native landscape. Experience in designing or managing software operations for large-scale distributed systems is essential. A strong understanding of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers, along with comprehensive knowledge of enterprise security and compliance requirements in software operations, is required. Proven leadership abilities, excellent communication skills in English, and a willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events are also necessary.
