The Process Engineer at Oklo will be responsible for designing and analyzing fluid and power systems for the company's advanced fission power plants. This role involves collaborating with a dynamic engineering team dedicated to developing innovative, clean energy solutions. Oklo is at the forefront of next-generation fission technology, aiming to produce abundant and affordable energy on a global scale.

Key responsibilities include designing fluid and process systems such as piping, valves, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers. The engineer will define process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria. Additionally, the role involves assembling and operating prototypes for iterative design refinement, generating documentation for system layout, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance, and serving as the process system owner through multiple lifecycle stages. The engineer will also generate technical documentation for regulatory filings and work with external vendors on process equipment analysis, procurement, and testing.

Candidates should have an engineering education in fields such as Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Aerospace engineering. Experience in designing or modifying process equipment used in industries like petroleum, nuclear, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical is essential. A broad familiarity with engineering principles and strong systems engineering and operations intuition are required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about clean energy, willing to learn quickly, think creatively, and thrive in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment.
