Privacy Counsel
As a Privacy Counsel at StackAdapt, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the company's privacy program to ensure compliance with global data protection laws. Reporting to the Global Privacy Counsel, you will collaborate with various business units to mitigate risks and build trust with customers and consumers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-growth technology company renowned for its innovative advertising solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and other privacy-related contractual provisions to support commercial transactions. You will assist teams across revenue, advertising solutions, client services, and security on privacy matters, particularly concerning partnerships and business development opportunities. Additionally, you will monitor evolving privacy legislation, conduct privacy assessments, and implement privacy-by-design principles into projects and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data protection laws and industry guidelines relevant to marketing and advertising technologies. A minimum of five years of experience in privacy, legal operations, or a similar field within the adtech or martech industry, or within the privacy or data protection group of a reputable U.S. firm, is required. Exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex privacy concepts into business terms are essential. Active standing in at least one state bar in the U.S. is also necessary.
