Principal SoC Architect

Graphcore is seeking a Principal SoC Architect to lead the design, specification, modeling, and integration of sub-systems within complex, high-performance silicon devices at the forefront of AI acceleration technology. This role reports to the Director of Silicon Architecture and involves close collaboration with architecture, silicon design, verification, hardware, and software teams.

Key responsibilities include defining team infrastructure and processes, distilling product requirements and their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs, and collaborating with processor, SoC, and system architects to determine optimal solutions. The role also involves providing technical knowledge to silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers to ensure implementation correctness, evaluating potential third-party IP, and managing queries for silicon bring-up, characterization, and evaluation activities.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related subject, with experience in the technical specification of complex silicon SoC devices. Strong software development experience, a solid understanding of complex computer/SoC architecture, and excellent communication skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate should have in-depth knowledge of RTL development and verification processes and the ability to work across teams and programming languages.
