Principal Product Manager, Capital Platform

As a Principal Product Manager at Upstart, you will lead the strategy and execution for complex capital platform initiatives, focusing on developing scalable, enterprise-grade solutions that enable seamless integration for lenders and investors. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build systems that support the reliable and transparent flow of capital through Upstart's marketplace.

Key responsibilities include owning the roadmap for major capital platform problem spaces, leading multi-quarter initiatives that require deep systems thinking, and designing configurable platform capabilities that serve a diverse set of capital partners. You will work closely with engineering to define product architecture and ensure the long-term evolution of capital platform systems.

The ideal candidate has over seven years of product management experience, with a proven track record in designing and shipping platforms or shared systems. Experience with complex B2B or B2B2C workflows, strong technical fluency, and the ability to operate effectively in regulated environments are essential. A bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or business-related field is required.
