Principal Platform Engineer, Devops (SGP based)
Agoda is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer, DevOps, to join its DevOps Engineering team in Singapore. This team is responsible for automating the Software Development Lifecycle across all of Agoda's R&D, maintaining central development tools, and developing internal portals to enhance development efficiency and security. The role significantly impacts all development activities within the company.
The Principal Platform Engineer will maintain CI/CD best practices, automate security testing, and manage central development systems such as source control, continuous integration, and service discovery. The role also involves bridging the gap between development and operations and engaging in full-stack development for internal portals and tooling.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, with several years in a senior or principal role. They must possess hands-on experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle, strong coding skills in modern programming languages like Python or Go, and knowledge of development ecosystem tools such as Git, CI, Docker, and Kubernetes. A passion for learning new technologies and automating large-scale processes is essential, along with software architecture design skills for high availability and fault tolerance, and Linux system administration expertise.
Preferred qualifications include experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, full-stack application development using React.js and Go, working with OpenStack, container orchestration with Kubernetes, HashiCorp tools such as Consul and Vault, and both SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, Elastic, and MSSQL.
