Principal DevOps Engineer
Veracode is seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps initiatives, drive automation, and optimize cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud-based systems.
The Principal DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. Key responsibilities include architecting and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability, leading Kubernetes (EKS) deployments to ensure high availability and performance, and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform. The role also involves driving automation across infrastructure, monitoring, and security processes, as well as monitoring and optimizing cloud costs while ensuring operational efficiency.
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles, with expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and infrastructure automation. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is essential, along with proficiency in CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD. A deep understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform, experience with scripting and automation in languages like Python, Bash, or Go, and strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools are also required. Additionally, candidates should have experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
