Pricing Analyst
DLA Piper, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles. This role is integral to the firm's strategic initiatives, focusing on analyzing historical data to advise on profitable pricing arrangements and rate structures. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with Pricing Leadership, Senior Analysts, Business Development, Marketing, Legal Project Management, Billing Operations, and Staff Leadership to support revenue generation through data-driven insights.
In this position, the Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing rate proposals, fee estimates, and pricing options in response to client RFPs and ad-hoc requests. They will work directly with Billing/Rates, Pricing teams, and firm attorneys to identify rate renewal opportunities, develop proposals, and ensure timely communication and submission. The role also involves contributing to financial models to assess the impact and profitability of pricing proposals, assisting in the development of creative pricing solutions, and performing historical analytics to build robust pricing models for broader implementation.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with at least three years of directly related experience, preferably in financial analysis, billing, or accounting. Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in summarizing and charting large data sets, advanced MS Word and Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and PivotTable functions), and the ability to build collaborative relationships across the firm are also required.
The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $80,348 to $117,111, depending on the candidate's geographic market location.
