Pre-Suit Paralegal

The Pre-Suit Paralegal at The Starkey Law Group is integral to managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement. This role involves direct client communication, case management, and supporting the firm's commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and proactive updates throughout the case lifecycle. The paralegal will manage pre-suit personal injury cases, including handling records, bills, treatment tracking, and timelines. Additionally, the role involves drafting demands and negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters under attorney guidance, managing COAM cases up to the appeal level, and overseeing local government collections accounts.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years in personal injury litigation. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in legal terminology and processes. Familiarity with court filing procedures and case management software like MyCase is preferred. Exceptional organizational skills and an analytical mindset are crucial for effectively managing multiple tasks and driving case progress.
