Pr. Scientist

Eurofins BPT-Columbia is seeking a Principal Scientist to join our Biotech department in Columbia, Missouri. This role involves serving as a subject matter expert in testing Drug Substances and Drug Products, contributing to Eurofins' mission of providing comprehensive analytical testing services across various industries.

The Principal Scientist will perform routine, non-routine, and complex analyses, including instrumental analyses, and independently calibrate and troubleshoot instruments. Responsibilities include guiding and mentoring junior staff, conducting independent research into regulatory trends and technical advances, and serving as a technical resource for internal challenges. The role also involves documenting testing procedures and results in compliance with regulatory requirements, assisting with onboarding new instrumentation, and providing client consultations.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology with at least 5 years of experience in a cGMP laboratory; alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a cGMP laboratory is acceptable. Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship is required. Ideal candidates will have experience in a CRO/CDMO environment adhering to cGMP regulations, proficiency in method establishment and cGMP validations, and strong problem-solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed.
