POC Engineer
Arista Networks is seeking a Proof of Concept (POC) Engineer to join our team of networking experts. This customer-facing role involves designing and demonstrating cutting-edge Arista solutions to potential clients, playing a pivotal part in driving new customer acquisitions and introducing innovative technologies worldwide.
In this position, you will collaborate with Arista System Engineers and prospective customers to develop POC test plans that validate our products against specific network design requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing and configuring complex test environments, executing rigorous POC tests, and documenting results comprehensively. Additionally, you will host customers during POC sessions, demonstrating the capabilities of Arista's solutions and providing detailed test reports.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, with a preference for a Master's degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, system testing, network consulting, systems engineering, or advanced services is required. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and MPLS is essential. Experience with network virtualization technologies like VXLAN and OpenStack, as well as proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl, is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to manage projects independently, are also important.
Arista Networks offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $125,000 to $185,000, depending on experience and location.
