POC Engineer
Arista Networks is seeking a Proof of Concept (POC) Engineer to join our team of networking experts. This customer-facing role involves designing and demonstrating cutting-edge networking solutions to prospective clients, playing a pivotal part in driving new customer acquisitions and introducing innovative technologies to a global audience.
In this position, you will collaborate with Arista System Engineers and potential customers to develop POC test plans that validate our products against specific network design requirements. Your responsibilities include designing and configuring complex test environments, executing rigorous POC tests, and documenting results comprehensively. Additionally, you will host customers during POC sessions, demonstrating the capabilities of Arista's solutions and providing detailed test reports.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, with a preference for a Master's degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, system testing, network consulting, systems engineering, or advanced services is required. Proficiency in deploying, testing, and troubleshooting protocols such as STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and MPLS is essential. Experience with network virtualization technologies like VXLAN and OpenStack, as well as scripting skills in Python, Tcl, or Perl, are highly desirable.
