Plumbing & Fire Protection IB
CannonDesign is seeking a Plumbing & Fire Protection IB to join their multi-disciplinary team in Buffalo, New York. This role involves working under the guidance of a licensed engineer and project leadership on various projects, including new constructions and renovations in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.
Key responsibilities include designing uncomplicated piping and equipment selections for plumbing and fire protection systems, assisting with HVAC designs as needed, and preparing Revit/BIM models of construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration phases. Additional tasks involve editing specifications, reviewing submittals and shop drawings for compliance, conducting research, drafting reports, responding to RFIs, and performing job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include current CPD or PE in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering in the United States, LEED accreditation, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to handle multiple projects effectively, and experience with engineering design programs like Revit.
The annual salary range for this position is $62,600 to $72,975, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
