Plumbing/Fire Protection - Entry Level (STL)
CannonDesign is seeking an Entry-Level Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves working under the guidance of a Certified Plumbing Designer or licensed Engineer on projects that include new construction and renovations in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.
In this position, you will assist in designing plumbing and fire protection systems, including piping, controls, and equipment selection. You will also support HVAC designs as needed. Your responsibilities will include Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration phases, coordinating specifications, drafting reports for senior engineers, reviewing submittals and shop drawings for compliance, and conducting site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Knowledge of advanced heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics principles is essential. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects. Experience with engineering design programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus is preferred.
The salary range for this position is $26.73 to $33.41 per hour, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
