Physiochemical Analyst
Eurofins is seeking a Physiochemical Analyst to join our team in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland. This full-time, permanent position involves working within the client's environment to support testing, technical, and analytical tasks, ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism. The role operates on a biweekly rotating shift pattern: Week 1 includes Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; Week 2 covers Wednesday and Thursday, with working hours from 07:00 to 19:00.
The Physiochemical Analyst will perform a range of physiochemical analyses in line with client requirements, with an initial primary focus on A280 testing. Responsibilities include reviewing, interpreting, and verifying test results generated by peers to ensure accuracy and data integrity. The analyst will manage sample workflow through the laboratory, including internal processing, external shipments, and accurate documentation in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Additionally, the role involves coordinating and executing sample pulls and aliquoting, responding efficiently to ad hoc sample and data requests, maintaining accurate reference material inventories, and generating routine reports for environmental monitoring and water analysis.
Candidates must hold a third-level qualification in a scientific discipline and possess essential Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) laboratory experience. Strong teamwork skills are essential, with the ability to set a positive example and mentor colleagues to support client satisfaction. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism at all times, is required. The role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational and time-management skills. Maintaining an organized workspace and contributing to efficient laboratory operations are also key aspects of the position.
