PHP/Wordpress Developer
FeverUp is seeking a PHP/WordPress Developer to join our engineering team, responsible for creating, developing, improving, and maintaining all Fever services. This role focuses on enhancing user experiences across our platforms, including the Secret Media Network, which inspires over 60 million people weekly to discover the best experiences in their cities.
Key responsibilities include full immersion into the team, participating in planning, grooming, and retrospectives, familiarization with our tech stack, focusing on the Secret Media Network, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure, multiple successful Pull Requests merged and deployed to production, and participation in Fever Original's experiences like Candlelight. After 3 months, the developer will be proficient in solving complex problems, taking charge of architecture design and implementation, creating production-grade PHP code capable of handling high levels of traffic, working closely with internal stakeholders to define and prioritize product development, and collaborating in hackdays or hackathons with other teams. By the 6th month, responsibilities will expand to analyzing user interactions and evolving the platform to meet their needs, launching large-scale initiatives from inception to production, ensuring system performance and reliability, mentoring fellow team members through code reviews and architecture design sessions, and engaging in team-building activities.
The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of WordPress and PHP, experience in creating and modifying WordPress plugins and themes, proficiency in handling multiple WordPress sites, experience with databases such as MySQL, familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues, high productivity, self-motivation, compliance with defined coding standards, and proficiency in business English. Additional skills include the ability to create WordPress plugins and themes from scratch, systems knowledge (cache, load balancers, etc.), and familiarity with JIRA.
