Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team in Washington, D.C. The firm is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals against large corporations and insurance companies. As part of the firm's mission, the attorney will represent clients in motor vehicle accident cases, handling all aspects of litigation from pre-trial preparation to in-court trials.
In this role, the attorney will manage a caseload of motor vehicle accident cases, drafting and filing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions. They will guide clients through the legal process, interact with expert witnesses, and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. The attorney will also collaborate with a dedicated team, including pre-suit attorneys, case managers, paralegals, and legal assistants, to ensure effective case management and client representation.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the bar for the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, with a preference for Virginia. Ideally, applicants will have at least two years of personal injury litigation experience, particularly in motor vehicle accident cases. Strong client service and communication skills, the ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases, and superior writing and oral advocacy skills are essential.
