The successful candidate will work closely with both IHV and Canonical teams across various geographies to drive business interactions and achieve targeted results.

Key responsibilities include developing strategic partnerships, enabling partner teams, and generating and transacting opportunities through IHVs. The role also involves increasing partner awareness of open-source capabilities on Canonical's Ubuntu platform, delivering on targets and objectives, and providing a voice for the partner. Regular travel, sometimes internationally, is required to drive partnerships in person.

The ideal candidate will have experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles, a disciplined and hands-on approach, and the ability to capture customer requirements and identify opportunities. A passion for Ubuntu products and mission, comfort in fast-paced environments with measurable goals, and experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies are essential. Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as credibility and working knowledge of IHVs, are also required.

Canonical offers a distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person, a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, annual compensation reviews, recognition rewards, annual holiday leave, maternity and paternity leave, a Team Member Assistance Program and Wellness Platform, opportunities to travel to new locations to meet colleagues, and priority pass and travel upgrades for long-haul company events.

Joining Canonical means becoming part of a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source. As the publisher of Ubuntu, one of the most important open-source projects and the platform for AI, IoT, and the cloud, Canonical is changing the world of software. The company recruits globally and sets a high standard for its team members, offering a challenging and rewarding work environment.
