Partner Sales Executive, North America Channel
The Partner Sales Executive, North America Channel, will be responsible for developing and executing channel strategies to engage reseller and distributor partners within the assigned territory. This role involves identifying and recruiting new partners, guiding them through onboarding and enablement, and developing mutually beneficial go-to-market plans. The successful candidate will drive and manage the channel pipeline through regular partner interactions, ensuring partner satisfaction and acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
Key responsibilities include increasing awareness of Canonical as a leading player in Open Source and Cloud solutions, arranging and executing sales and pre-sales training for resellers, and maintaining regular contact with priority resellers and distributors. The role requires a mix of both farming and hunting capabilities to achieve assigned annual growth quotas.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology field, and have experience in software or technology sales within the specified market. Fluency in English and an understanding of open source, Linux, and Ubuntu are essential. A self-starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets, the candidate should be detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills, effective negotiating abilities, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Experience in a startup environment would be advantageous.
