Partner Risk Assessment Specialist

As a Partner Risk Assessment Specialist at Wise, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements. This position involves onboarding and risk assessing banks and online platforms that partner with Wise, contributing to the mission of providing instant, borderless money transfers for people worldwide.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough due diligence on partner institutions to assess their compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This involves reviewing partners' documentation, such as Know Your Customer (KYC) information and legal agreements, to ensure accuracy and completeness. You will document your findings in compliance memos that summarize potential risks and assist in developing and improving the compliance onboarding process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written English skills, with additional language skills being a plus. A minimum of three years of financial services industry compliance experience, preferably at a bank, trading, payments, or fintech institution, is required. Strong experience in due diligence, financial crime compliance, and risk mitigation, along with skills in investigation and business notation, are essential. Proven experience in onboarding large enterprises to financial platforms and a solid understanding of risk-based approaches and assessments are also necessary.

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $80,000 to $103,000 annually.
