Part-Time General Liability Senior Attorney

Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,300 attorneys across 43 offices in the United States, is seeking a Part-Time General Liability Of Counsel for their Las Vegas office. This role offers flexible work arrangements, including 60%, 80%, and full-time options, within a hybrid working environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, as well as attending court hearings, depositions, and mediations. They will collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment. Additionally, the attorney will independently manage a litigation caseload as part of a team, working cases from inception to resolution, and communicate with clients to provide status reports.

Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the state of Nevada. A minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience is required, with a background in catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or other general liability matters. Experience in drafting discovery and pretrial motions is essential, while cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses, handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience are preferred. Superior analytical skills, along with strong written and oral communication abilities, are also necessary.
