Part Time Chemistry Analyst

Eurofins is seeking a Part-Time Chemistry Analyst to join our dynamic laboratory team. This role involves performing a variety of chemical tests on water samples, contributing to our mission of ensuring environmental safety and public health. The position requires working 16 hours per week, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing water samples using manual methods such as Suspended Solids by filtration and Taste and Odour analysis, adhering to established laboratory protocols. The analyst will also operate and manage analytical instruments like ICP-MS and Aquakem Colorimetry automation, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained according to quality procedures. Additional duties involve monitoring lab supplies, maintaining sample integrity, and collaborating with team members to meet reporting deadlines.

Candidates should possess GCSEs in Maths, English, Chemistry, or Biology at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications. Experience in a fast-paced environment, proficiency with IT systems, and strong attention to detail are essential. Effective communication skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team are also required.
