Paralegal - L&DR
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join their Litigation & Dispute Resolution (L&DR) team at the Newcastle Legal Delivery Centre. This centre collaborates with the Delhi office to support global lawyer teams by effectively utilizing knowledge, resources, processes, and legal technology to serve clients. The L&DR team specializes in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory investigations.
As a Paralegal in the L&DR team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including proofreading and cross-referencing documents, drafting witness statements, redacting sensitive information, preparing bundles, indexes, and chronologies, and assisting with e-disclosure processes. You will also analyze documents for matter issues, proof audio transcriptions, conduct legal research, and utilize the latest legal technology for service delivery, such as AI, High Q, bundling technology, and e-disclosure platforms. Additionally, you will update internal tracking systems, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and integrate legal technology into processes.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working in an office or corporate environment, with a strong academic background, including a degree in any discipline or completion of a CILEx level 3 (or above) qualification in Law. Essential skills include excellent attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel, strong research capabilities, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A proactive and flexible approach, along with a desire to learn and develop, is also important.
