Paralegal Intern
Catawiki, a unique online marketplace specializing in the buying and selling of special objects, is seeking a Paralegal Intern to join their dynamic legal team in Amsterdam. This role offers an excellent opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in various legal fields, including commercial, privacy, and corporate law, while contributing to innovative legal solutions within a growing and diverse company.
As a Paralegal Intern, you will support the international business in its ambitious growth targets by assisting legal counsels across a wide range of projects. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the case management system, supporting the development of the contract management system, drafting internal memos on relevant legal topics, monitoring legal dashboards, reviewing legal questions from other departments, taking notes during project meetings, preparing training materials, and updating the Legal Knowledge Hub. This role provides exposure to various legal areas, including commercial law, consumer law, contract law, compliance, privacy, data protection, corporate law, sustainability/ESG, and artificial intelligence.
Ideal candidates should be enrolled in a Dutch university program for the entire duration of the internship, with a strong focus on intellectual property. A minimum internship duration of six months is required. Applicants should possess a "can do" and "hands-on" mentality, be team players with strong organizational and communication skills, and be tech-savvy. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Dutch is preferred. Residency in the Netherlands, particularly in the Amsterdam region, is also preferred.
