The Paralegal position at Capital Farm Credit involves providing professional legal support to the Legal Department and attorneys. This role includes conducting legal research, drafting legal and business communications, and managing legal files. The paralegal will also facilitate the processing of out-of-state real estate-secured loans and coordinate with outside counsel. Additionally, the role encompasses reviewing and preparing title examination documents for non-consumer real estate-secured loans and credit servicing actions.

Key responsibilities include assisting attorneys with loan files, loan and servicing documentation, and legal issues. The paralegal will maintain knowledge of laws and regulations related to lending, real estate, and title matters. Tasks also involve searching and reviewing business entity, trust, and estate documentation, as well as performing title examinations and document preparation for loan and credit servicing actions. The role may also require processing UCC filings and searches, and maintaining files on litigation and other special matters.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree and at least one year of experience in paralegal work, legal support, or equivalent experience in loan document preparation and processing. This includes experience with real estate documentation, title review, and lien perfection of personal and real estate property. Proficiency in federal and state laws related to loan documentation and real estate collateral, as well as familiarity with Farm Credit Administration regulations, is essential. Strong skills in adapting to changing conditions, managing competing demands, and effective communication are also required.
