Eurofins Environment Testing Canada, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and oversee the operational activities of its environmental testing laboratories. This role involves managing a dedicated team to ensure the delivery of high-quality analytical services that meet client expectations and regulatory standards. The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing budgets aimed at ensuring the profitability and growth of the business units. Key responsibilities include strategic staffing, sales and promotion, IT projects, equipment selection, purchasing, and maintaining competitiveness. Additionally, the role involves designing and enforcing procedures to promote company services, deliver accurate and quality-controlled analytical services, optimize facilities and equipment, and ensure environmental protection and safety compliance.
Candidates should possess at least 10 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role. A university degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Engineering is required, with a Master's or Ph.D. considered an asset. Technical knowledge of laboratory methods and instruments such as IC, ICP/MS, GC/MS, and GC/ECD is essential. Experience in budget development, understanding of financial statements, statistical analysis, and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards are also required.
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from CAD 110,000 to CAD 120,000.
