The Operations Engineer at Oklo will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing operational programs for the company's advanced reactors. This position involves close collaboration with system owners and designers to define how systems will be operated, monitored, and maintained across all operational modes. The role is integral to ensuring that operational strategies align with design intent and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities include developing Concepts of Operations (ConOps), leading the implementation of operational programs such as conduct of operations and maintenance, and generating design documentation suitable for licensing submittals. The Operations Engineer will also identify and address gaps in operations program development, contribute to readiness reviews and inspections, and interface with vendors and cross-functional teams to integrate operational expectations early in the design lifecycle.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Experience in developing or managing operations programs within a nuclear or highly regulated industrial environment is essential. A strong familiarity with operational program frameworks such as INPO/NEI guidance, NRC regulatory expectations, or DOE equivalents is required. Experience with configuration management, procedure development, or licensing documentation is considered a strong plus.

Oklo offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $160,000, along with flexible time off, equity options, 401(k) plans, health insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA), and flexible work hours. Remote employees are expected to travel to the company's headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, twice a quarter for team meetings and other company events.
