Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances
Canonical is seeking experienced professionals to join our Sales and Alliances teams, focusing on driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. As a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, our platform, Ubuntu, is widely utilized in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. With a globally distributed team of over 1,200 colleagues across 75+ countries, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions to our diverse clientele.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and expanding strategic relationships with partners and customers, developing and executing sales strategies, and enhancing awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical's Ubuntu platform. Your day-to-day activities will include negotiating contracts, collaborating with internal teams such as Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Product Management, and leading executive engagements to drive partnerships and customer success.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in the technology sector, experience with Linux and open source technologies, and an exceptional academic background. A technical undergraduate degree or a compelling alternative path is required. Strong interpersonal skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, distributed environment are essential. The role also requires the ability to travel internationally for company events and client meetings as needed.
