The Office of General Counsel/Compliance Paralegal at Crowell & Moring LLP plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm's internal legal and compliance functions. This position is integral to ensuring the firm's adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements across its global operations. Crowell & Moring is an international law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices in major cities worldwide, representing clients in litigation, regulatory, intellectual property, and transactional matters.

In this role, the paralegal will assist in developing, administering, and monitoring the firm's Compliance Program to mitigate and manage risks. Responsibilities include conducting legal research on compliance obligations, delivering presentations on findings, and supporting the Office of the General Counsel with legal advice. The paralegal will also collaborate with attorneys and staff to research and advise on legal compliance issues, conduct risk assessments, develop policies and procedures, and assist in investigations and audits.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor degree and have a minimum of three years of legal experience, preferably in an Am Law 100 law firm. Experience in devising or implementing compliance policies and procedures is strongly preferred. The role requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to analyze legal precedents and regulatory schemes, and proficiency in drafting legal analyses and compliance materials. Adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.

Compensation for this position is competitive, with a salary range of $150,000 to $175,000 per year.
