Observability, Staff Telemetry Engineer
As a Staff Telemetry Engineer at Graphcore, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and deploying scalable management and observability solutions for AI infrastructure built on our next-generation products. This position is based in Gdańsk, Poland, and operates under a hybrid working policy, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office. Graphcore is a leading innovator in AI compute, developing the complete AI compute stack—from silicon and software to datacenter-scale infrastructure—to drive the future of artificial intelligence.
In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to all phases of product development, including product definition, architecture, design, implementation, debugging, testing, and early customer support. Key duties involve designing and implementing fault-remediation solutions at scale, integrating multi-component systems based on Graphcore and third-party technology stacks, and creating comprehensive reference designs. Additionally, you will deploy internal solutions to support engineering teams in debugging, performance analysis, benchmarking, and testing across various scales.
The ideal candidate will possess a BSc or MSc degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated success in architecting and implementing scalable, performant, and reliable cluster management systems, including telemetry collection and analysis engines, is essential. A solid understanding of computer systems architecture (CPU, GPU, DPU, server platforms), proficiency in programming and debugging server platforms, and expertise in in-band and out-of-band management architectures are required. Strong skills in at least one of C/C++/Go and Python, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are also necessary.
Graphcore offers a competitive salary, annual leave policy, medical and dental health plans, a gym card, and an employee pension matched up to 4%. The company is committed to building an inclusive work environment and provides a flexible approach to interviews, encouraging candidates to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed.
