New York Trade Finance Associate

Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Senior Trade Finance Associate to join its Global Financial Markets Group in New York. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team renowned for its expertise in trade finance and financial markets.

As a Senior Trade Finance Associate, you will be responsible for advising clients on a range of trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, trade receivables, and supply chain financing. Your role will involve drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal research, and providing strategic guidance to clients on complex trade finance matters. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across various practice areas to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.

Ideal candidates will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school with high academic achievement. A strong interest in trade finance, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to waive in is required. Prior experience in a peer law firm, particularly in trade finance or related areas, is preferred.

Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $365,000 to $420,000, with actual compensation commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
