Network Engineer - Test

Arista Networks is seeking a Network Engineer - Test to collaborate closely with developers in ensuring the delivery of high-quality networking products. This role involves working within an agile team to identify and resolve complex software and hardware issues before they reach customers.

Key responsibilities include designing and executing test plans to validate Arista's features and products, creating test network topologies to assess functionality, performance, stability, and scalability, and identifying defects while verifying their resolution. The engineer will also participate in functional specification and software design reviews, providing customer-centric input.

Candidates should have proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test plans, along with strong knowledge in areas such as Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and network management. Experience with test tools like IXIA or Spirent, familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience are required. A Master's degree is preferred, and strong communication skills are essential. CCNP or equivalent experience is expected, with CCIE certification considered a plus.
