Mobile Service Technician, Plainview
The Mobile Service Technician at Lucid Motors is responsible for traveling to client locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair Lucid vehicles in the field. This role requires working independently as well as collaboratively with the nearest service location to ensure high-quality service delivery. Lucid provides a service van or truck equipped with the necessary tools to support the technician in performing their duties effectively.
Key responsibilities include functioning as a Service Advisor, managing parts department duties such as ordering and inventory management, and directly interacting with clients to provide exceptional customer service. The technician is expected to maintain a high level of knowledge in High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general Electric Vehicle (EV) systems. Accurate documentation of client concerns, repair orders, and service activities is essential, along with invoicing and payment collection. Additionally, the role involves scheduling appointments, updating clients on repair statuses, and providing support at service centers as needed.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician and be self-sufficient, highly organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn proprietary DMS software are required. An EPA 609 Certification is necessary, and candidates must be willing to complete Lucid-provided CPR training post-hire. A valid driver's license with no suspensions in the past year is also required. Preferred qualifications include ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 - ADAS), previous experience as a Mobile Service Technician, experience with EV diagnosis and repair, and experience in luxury automobile repair environments.
