Mobile Service Technician, Detroit
The Mobile Service Technician at Lucid Motors is responsible for performing field service repairs on luxury electric vehicles. This role involves traveling to client locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Technicians will operate independently, supported by the nearest service location, and are provided with a service van or truck equipped with necessary tools.
Key responsibilities include functioning as a Service Advisor, managing parts inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. Technicians will document all vehicle interactions accurately, maintain a high level of knowledge in High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general Electric Vehicle (EV) systems, and perform thorough assessments to address client concerns effectively. Additional duties encompass invoicing, payment collection, and supporting service centers as needed.
Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, be self-sufficient and highly organized, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary DMS software. Knowledge of HV and LV systems, EV powertrains, and EPA 609 Certification are required. A valid driver's license with no recent suspensions is necessary, and willingness to complete Lucid-provided CPR training post-hire is expected.
