Mindshare: Senior Media Manager- Baghdad
The Senior Media Manager at WPP Media's Mindshare division in Baghdad is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing media campaigns across various channels to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and conversions. This role involves managing relationships with media vendors, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring media plans align with marketing strategies. The Media Manager oversees both traditional and digital media, ensuring a cohesive and data-driven approach to media buying and planning.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive media strategies across various channels (digital, social, print, broadcast, etc.), planning, executing, and optimizing media campaigns across paid, earned, and owned media channels, collaborating with content creators, designers, and other team members to develop media content that aligns with the brand’s voice and goals, allocating and managing media budgets to maximize return on investment (ROI) while staying within the marketing budget, tracking and analyzing performance metrics for media campaigns, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement, building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, influencers, and advertising agencies, and assisting in managing crisis communication and reputation management via media outlets as needed.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience within a media, advertising, or digital marketing agency, strong hands-on experience across Digital Marketing, particularly in Social Media, Search, and Display, a solid understanding of integrated communications planning across online and offline channels, proven client servicing experience with the ability to confidently manage senior stakeholders and present strategic recommendations, previous experience leading and managing teams, excellent command of spoken and written English, and experience managing regional or international clients, ideally with exposure to markets outside of Iraq.
