Microbiologist

Eurofins is seeking a dedicated Microbiologist to join our team in India. As a global leader in food testing, Eurofins provides comprehensive analytical services to ensure product safety and quality. The Microbiologist will be responsible for preparing microbiology media, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment such as balances, autoclaves, water baths, laminar airflow units, biological safety cabinets, and microscopes. Key duties include performing microbiological testing in accordance with standard procedures, collecting and analyzing data to draw conclusions and recommend actions, and applying appropriate methodologies to assist in overcoming technical difficulties and promoting continuous improvement. Additionally, the role involves maintaining laboratory quality assurance systems to ensure data validity, keeping accurate and up-to-date laboratory records, supporting microbiological sampling and testing programs, and adhering to laboratory safety protocols and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate should possess 2-3 years of experience working in a food testing laboratory, with strong knowledge of food microbiology analysis. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required. The candidate should be energetic, flexible, innovative, and capable of acting quickly and decisively. Fluency in English and the local language is also necessary.
