Member of Technical Staff - Reasoning
As a Member of Technical Staff at xAI, you will join a dedicated team focused on advancing AI systems to accurately understand the universe and assist humanity in its quest for knowledge. In this position, you will be responsible for building robust and scalable distributed reinforcement learning (RL) systems. Your work will involve optimizing frameworks to enhance complex inference-time reasoning and developing environments and harnesses for AI agents. You will have the opportunity to engage with and take ownership of components across the entire technical stack, contributing directly to the company's mission.
The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale reinforcement learning systems and a strong background in designing and implementing distributed systems. Staying abreast of state-of-the-art RL and inference-time compute algorithms is essential. Strong communication skills are required to effectively share knowledge with teammates.
