The Medical Equipment BIM Technician at CannonDesign plays a pivotal role in integrating architectural and engineering processes with equipment planning through Building Information Modeling (BIM). This remote position requires a self-motivated individual who can collaborate effectively with equipment planners to produce accurate and comprehensive BIM/CAD drawings. The ideal candidate will also provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

In this role, the technician will offer CAD/Revit drafting support to the equipment planning team, making necessary corrections to drawings based on redlines and verbal instructions. Collaboration with equipment planners is essential to maintain drawing quality, ensure timely project execution, and adhere to best practices. Additional responsibilities include updating and maintaining the master equipment keynote schedule, reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance with the scope of work, and serving as a backup to other teams as needed. The technician will also be responsible for escalating and tracking issues related to medical equipment, ensuring they are addressed promptly. Regular and extensive travel for client work and internal meetings is a requirement of this position.

Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Drafting, Design, Architectural, or Engineering Technology, or an equivalent field. A minimum of three years of related experience is required, with proficiency in Autodesk Revit software for producing architectural drawings being preferred. A general understanding of architectural and engineering project delivery processes, milestones, and deliverables is advantageous. Basic knowledge of various types of medical equipment devices is also beneficial.

The salary range for this position is $57,000 to $71,300 annually. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
