Medical Collector/Self Pay

The Medical Collector/Self Pay position at Medical Clinic of Houston, L.L.P. involves managing patient accounts to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered. Additionally, the role involves assisting Patient Access Representatives with onsite patients for collections purposes, providing backup phone coverage to Customer Service, and answering incoming calls.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of experience in medical billing and collections, and two years in a customer service environment. Experience with NextGen EPM and Availity software is advantageous. Essential skills include proficiency in keyboarding, familiarity with the Windows environment, understanding of various payer verification and claims software, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service abilities are also crucial.
