Mechanical II

The Mechanical II position at CannonDesign involves working within a multi-disciplinary team under the guidance of a licensed engineer. The role focuses on designing HVAC systems for various projects, including new constructions and renovations in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.

Key responsibilities include designing ductwork, piping, and selecting equipment for HVAC systems, both independently for smaller projects and under supervision for more complex ones. The role also involves calculating heating and cooling loads, creating Revit/BIM models for construction drawings, specifying mechanical equipment, reviewing shop drawings for compliance, and participating in client and project team meetings.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include EIT/FE certification, LEED accreditation, and proficiency in engineering design software such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.

The salary range for this position is $67,346 to $79,230 annually, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
