Mechanical IB

CannonDesign is seeking a Mechanical IB to join their multi-disciplinary team in Buffalo, New York. This role involves working under the guidance of a licensed engineer on projects that include new construction and renovations in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.

Key responsibilities include designing uncomplicated piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems, assisting with plumbing and fire protection designs, preparing building load calculations using modeling software, and creating Revit/BIM models of construction drawings for HVAC systems. Additional tasks involve editing specifications, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, conducting research, drafting reports, responding to RFIs, and performing job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. An EIT/FE certification in the United States and LEED accreditation are preferred. Proficiency in engineering design programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus is required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

The salary range for this position is $63,852.00 to $74,435.00 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
