Mechanical Foreman (Maintenance)

The Mechanical Foreman (Maintenance) at BESIX is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities within the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role involves supervising a team of mechanics and helpers, coordinating closely with engineers, and maintaining critical mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.

Key responsibilities include planning and executing maintenance tasks, arranging necessary spare parts and tools, conducting risk assessments, and troubleshooting on-site issues. The foreman ensures strict adherence to safety protocols, delegates responsibilities effectively, and provides daily reports to engineers. Additionally, the role involves leading the maintenance of STP facilities such as screens, grit extraction systems, blowers, and aerators, as well as assembling mechanical components as required.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with certification from a vocational or trade school preferred. A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role is required, along with a solid understanding of mechanical tools, techniques, and terminology. Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures in a plant environment and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions are essential.
