Mechanical Drafting Technician
As a Mechanical Drafting Technician at Vention, you will be responsible for creating structural designs and collaborating with Account Executives to advise clients on industrial solutions. Utilizing Vention’s MachineBuilder CAD Software, you will provide design insights to clients, working closely with stakeholders on numerous industrial projects across sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, robotics, and aerospace.
Your key responsibilities will include understanding customer requirements and developing effective solutions using Vention's 3D MachineBuilder and modular components. You will lead design review sessions, offer feedback on client designs, assess designs for performance and structural integrity, create custom parts and drawings using standard CAD software, and contribute to the development of Vention’s parts library. Additionally, you will train clients on design best practices, conduct brainstorming sessions, test and troubleshoot in-house assembled designs, and support the application engineering team on complex automation projects.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting or design, particularly in areas such as machine frames, safety enclosures, or industrial furniture. A DEP in Mechanical Drafting or Industrial Drafting, or an equivalent qualification, is required. Candidates should possess a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for client interactions and mechanical design. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential. Bilingualism in French and English, both verbal and written, is required.
