Mechanical Analyst Engineer - Process Automation

Oklo is seeking a Mechanical Analyst Engineer specializing in Process Automation to join our engineering team. This role focuses on performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural performance and automating analysis workflows using scripting and software tools, with a preference for Python. The position offers flexibility to work remotely or on-site at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.

Key responsibilities include conducting FEA to assess structural performance, stress, fatigue, and failure modes. The engineer will automate analysis workflows and engineering processes, develop clear and concise documentation of methodologies and results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design decisions and ensure robust product development. Additional duties involve supporting the creation and refinement of product requirements, planning and executing validation and verification activities, and interpreting and applying relevant engineering standards and codes.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in engineering, such as mechanical or aerospace, and has proven experience in structural analysis using FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus. Strong programming skills for automation, preferably in Python, are essential. The role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment, along with the ability to write comprehensive technical documentation and reports.
