Material Scientist - Advanced Technology
Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Material Scientist to join its Advanced Technologies Group, focusing on pioneering materials research and computational modeling for innovative space applications. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical solutions in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
The Material Scientist will conduct and support materials research across both computational and experimental domains. Responsibilities include developing and applying machine learning and data-driven methods to materials modeling and process optimization, assembling and analyzing datasets from simulations, experiments, and scientific literature, and collaborating with internal engineering teams and external research partners to advance materials knowledge and capabilities. The scientist will also translate research findings into actionable guidance for space mission applications and contribute to technical reports, presentations, proposals, and design reviews.
Candidates must possess a PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. They should have familiarity with applying machine learning or data-driven methods to scientific or engineering problems, experience with computational simulation methods such as molecular dynamics (MD) or density functional theory (DFT), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. The ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities is also essential.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
