Material Program Manager III
The Material Program Manager III at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all phases of program execution with key subcontractors. This role involves developing supplier program management documentation, including monthly status reports, program planning materials, and presentations for technical teams, management, and customers. The position is based in Folsom, CA, and focuses on managing Department of Defense (DoD) programs for the U.S. Government.
Key responsibilities include planning, directing, and monitoring projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are maintained, with accountability for project-level profit and loss. The manager defines, generates, and reviews project management materials, ensures the availability of necessary resources such as engineering, manpower, production, and facilities, and works closely with project staff to provide direction on budgeting and program execution. Additionally, the role involves serving as the primary customer contact for project information and pursuing follow-on and new business opportunities directly with customers.
Required qualifications include 4-7 years of program management experience, ideally with at least one year managing DoD propulsion-related programs. Candidates should have experience managing DoD programs for the U.S. Government, generating and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP), and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or business from an accredited university or college is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred qualifications encompass management of rocket propulsion defense system programs, control systems for rocket propulsion defense system programs, and Missile Defense Agency programs with MAP/PMAP requirements. Experience in business development activities working directly with funding customer offices, a bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering, PMP Certification or equivalent, and an active DoD Secret Clearance are also advantageous.
