Lucid Motors is seeking a Material Flow Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to our mission of delivering luxury electric vehicles by ensuring efficient material delivery to our factory and sub-assembly lines. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement material flow processes that support our production goals.

The Material Flow Engineer will be responsible for designing material flow processes and storage systems to establish efficient material delivery to the factory and sub-assembly lines. This includes working closely with material handling equipment design, logistics operations, warehouse, manufacturing, and production planning staff to understand requirements and provide efficient material flow systems. The role also involves creating and implementing tools to audit efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities across the factory and the warehouse. Engaging and educating cross-functional teams in material flow design, material storage projects, and continuous improvement efforts is essential. Additionally, the engineer will own, manage, and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in the factory and the warehouse.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline, along with 3+ years of work experience. Outstanding critical thinking and communication skills are essential, as is a high level of autonomy and the ability to work efficiently in a challenging, ambiguous environment. A 'can-do' attitude is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have an innate ability to fully comprehend new processes and systems quickly, with high attention to detail. Leadership or management experience and/or end-to-end project management experience is preferred. Experience with greenfield projects in an automotive OEM or automotive tier 1 setup is advantageous. Expertise with designing material flow systems for Semi Knocked Down (SKD) and/or Complete Knocked Down (CKD) is preferred. Experience with time/motion study analysis, continuous improvement (6 sigma techniques, lean manufacturing), and change management is beneficial. Advanced-level MS Office (primarily Excel) and AutoCAD skills are required. Experience with material flow simulation modeling software (FlexSim or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
