Divergent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Torrance, California. This role is integral to bridging design and production, optimizing designs for manufacturability, and enhancing processes to support high-reliability hardware. As a key player in our innovative environment, you will guide new concepts through prototyping, enable rapid iteration, troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, and mature designs into production, upholding Divergent's standards for quality and reliability.

In this position, you will have end-to-end manufacturing ownership of multiple development and production products, serving as the technical lead for all manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and refining scalable manufacturing processes aligned with Divergent's technology development. You will drive improvements in yield, cycle times, and first-pass quality through data-driven continuous improvement initiatives, identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows, and stay current on emerging manufacturing technologies to integrate innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, with significant exposure to the aerospace or defense industries. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD) and a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) are essential. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is required. Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing, robotics, or automation, is highly desirable.

Divergent offers a competitive compensation package, with salary ranges based on the level of the role. For this position, we consider candidates at levels E03 to E06, with corresponding salary ranges from $91,800 to $194,400 annually.
